PIMC Community Meeting

Sunday, October 23, 1pm - 2:20pm.

We are meeting to celebrate the life that is burgeoning at PIMC, and to plan for the future. We will discuss program and community development, long-term financial stability, and governance. Whether you've been coming to PIMC for years or are new to our community, we encourage you join in this important conversation about our shared purpose and the future of PIMC.

QiGong Workshop for October

The next QiGong Workshop will be held at PIMC this Saturday on October 8. As usual we will meet from 10:00am until 2:00pm. The format is a rhythm alternating between 20 minutes of movement and 20 minutes of silent sitting.

Our purpose is to learn to carry mindfulness from the cushion into daily life. In the Metta Sutta, it is described as the "sublime abiding." One translation actually refers to it as a Divine State...

We share in such beautiful community by sitting together and sharing in the art of meditation. We would like to invite you to come and share in a different expression of art and community, celebrating that we are the living breathing earth!

Putting the Buddha's Path to Happiness into Practice

The Noble Eightfold Path is the fourth of the Buddha's Four Noble Truths and is described by the Buddha as the way leading to the cessation of suffering and the blossoming of self-awakening. The Eightfold Path is often said to contain a summary of all the instructions and essential elements of the path to realization.

Khenpo Tsewang Dongyal Rinpoche

As a holder of the complete Nyingmapa lineage -- kama, terma, and Dzogchen teachings--Khenpo Tsewang Rinpoche is fully versed in all the schools of Buddhism and is a master of Dzogchen, the most advanced tradition of meditation practice in Tibetan Buddhism.

An Evening of Tao with Barny Wong

The human quest in liberating the human condition from suffering has been a constant search in the hearts and minds of seekers, seekers ranging from Proust above to Tao. The dizzying offerings ranging from New Age to variants of Classical religions also casts the appearance that awakening is multi-variant in diagnosis to remedy.
