Special Performance of "The Story of Ebenezer Scrooge", Sun 12/17 at 1pm

A family-friendly theater performance based on Charles Dickens's "A Christmas Carol" - The classic parable about the gifts of generosity, kindness, and community.

Ebenezer Scrooge is a nasty, mean and snarling old geezer, with no care for anything other than his money. His one and only friend visits him as a ghost, and starts him on a journey that melts his icy heart, and teaches him the joys of caring for, and giving to others.

This is an interactive theater performance for families with young children. This production has been performed in schools for pre-school age children up through sixth grade.

The show lasts about 45-50 minutes with a Q&A. There are no scary scenes and no religious messaging.

The Portland Insight Meditation Center (PIMC) is a 501c3 non-profit organization and an open Buddhist community. All are welcome regardless of ability to pay. The Traveling Lantern Theatre Company has generously offered to put on this performance as a benefit for PIMC.

Suggested donation: $5/person (Cash, Checks, and Credit Cards accepted at the door)
