"Music exists because of Anicca, or is dependent on Anicca. If one note lasted, there'd be no......... beauty."

"“There are two kinds of suffering: the suffering which leads to more suffering, and the suffering which leads to the end of suffering."

- Ajahn Chan -

(From the book, “No Ajahn Chah – Reflections”)

"Who am I? What if the mystics are right? That we all have a case of mistaken identity? And that which knows (I take refuge in the Buddha) isn't that which incarnates?"

- Robert -

Robert referred to the Four Foundations of Mindfulness, which he wrote on the easel and elaborated upon. They are:

1. Mindfulness of the Body

2. Mindfulness of Feelings

3. Mindfulness of Mental Formations (Mind)

4. Mindfulness of Phenomena (Dharma)

Robert asked that we ask ourselves for each of these:

     Is this me?

     Is this permanent?

The answer to both questions, we will find, is No.
